Yuletide Holly-daze Paper Cupcakes meeting CANCELLED!
For those of you wondering about out Holly-daze meeting. YES we are on for Dec. 5th 6:30-9pm! I still have reservations for Mimi's cafe, but was not thrilled with the accommodations last time. Dana has graciously opened up her home to us again...where we will be warm and cozy! I will bring hot Wassail and dessert. Bring a finger food for the potluck.
Optional: Bring a wrapped gift valued at $15 or more that is CTMH related.

Team Meeting October 3rd.
When marketing ourselves...think about customer appeal.
Because this is our first time at Mimi's cafe, I will not be doing the original plan of a Mock demo because I'm not sure about space and sound...but we will be talking about marketing... Close To My Heart Disney Convention Packing Tip of the Day
Convention Tip of the Day:
It's NOT impossible to pack light and save room for awesome swag. I travel alot so I have packing down to an art. Here is a simple way to pack AND not forget anything AND fit it all in a small suitcase with room to spare:
Decide what you are wearing and lay it all out. Bring an outfit for a day plus 1 extra outfit AND your fancy outfit for the Awards Banquet.
Lay like clothing together. IE: shirts on shirts; pants on pants; sweaters on sweaters, etc.
ROLL all the shirts together tightly. Repeat until you have everything rolled except for your socks, unmentionables and shoes.
Gently place the rolls into your suitcase. Tuck toiletries, shoes and extras around the rolls.
Remember, If you have tons of goodies to take home, you might need to pay to check an extra bag home: (Plan to have extra room when you leave from home!)

FREE things to do at Walt Disney World
Free! I like FREE!!!
- Visit the different resorts, walk around & take in the details and atmosphere.
- Ride the monorail - ask to ride up front in the driver's cab, & don't forget to ask for your free co-pilot license.
- Go to Downtown Disney, you don't have to go in any of the shops, just sit back & take in the atmosphere, look at the lego sculptures, people watch, let the kids play in the fountains...
- Go to the Fort Wilderness campfire. Take your own marshmallows to roast over the fire, & a blanket to sit on while you watch the film.
- Go to one of the Magic Kingdom resorts & watch the electric water pageant from the beach.
- Watch the MK fireworks from the beach of the Grand Floridian or Polynesian, or from the California Grill at the Contemporary.
- Spend time on the beach at one of the MK resorts, paddle your feet in the lake or relax in a hammock.
- Take the free tour at the Wilderness Lodge, or ask for the list of hidden Mickeys, & go on a hidden Mickey hunt.
- Visit the petting farm at Fort Wilderness.
- Take a boat ride from one of the resorts - Wilderness Lodge to MK; Boardwalk to Epcot or MGM; Dixie Landings to Downtown Disney, etc.
- Take the free garden tour at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort, or the free tour of the Grand Floridian.
- Visit the BoardWalk in the evening to watch the entertainment & take in the atmosphere.
- Watch the MK fireworks from outside the California Grill on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort.
- Walk along by the Sassagoula River from Port Orleans Riverside to French Quarter.
- Go on the nature walk at Fort Wilderness.
- Free souvenirs from Disney. At Innoventions East, guests can send a 10-second, video e-mail message to friends back home (Video D-Mail booth located at the Innoventions Internet Zone). At Innoventions West, guests can send a picture postcard of themselves by e-mail, provided by IBM's Networked Living Exhibit.

A nice way to remember who gave you a card, is to keep a small notepad, pen and washi tape in a small cosmetic bag for keeping your business cards and making notes to yourself either on the back of the cards on the washi tape if they are a shiny surface or in your note book.
Oh...and your reading glasses! :)

A Task a Day for May!

Send an email to your downline.
Create a Constant Contact account for newsletters and updates.
Send a Thank You card to a past hostess.
Read company updates.
Make a list of 5 new contacts.
Create a plan for the following months projects.
Post some of YOUR artwork on your blog/Facebook/ FB business page.
Contact one of your downline to see how she is doing.
Send one of your downline a happy in the mail.
If you haven’t already, set up your FB business page/if you have, then add a tab to it!
Update/write and type out your 30 second commercial.
Update/write and type out your “WHY”.
Order NEW business cards-approval necessary when not using Town & Country.
Update your email and contact info with your upline, CTMH office and on your OBA.
Print out the hostess benefits flyer & print out recruiting/opportunity flyer.
Stuff envelopes: 30 sec commercial, why, flyers and 2 bus cards-keep 3 in your purse.

Who's going to convention???
Convention goers! We have a theme for our team meeting for Convention!
"Keys to a Successful Kingdom!"
Yes we are mixing it up with business AND fun! Be prepared to have a magical beginning of your convention experience!
(RSVP's and completed form are your "KEY" to admission! Form will be posted closer to June.)

Contest? Yes there is a contest...
Please bring a handmade item using the "KEY" image from Art Philosophy (pg 63) depicting our Meeting theme "Keys to a Successful Kingdom" using only current Close To My Heart products. This is optional, but because this will be out for all to see and appreciate, I want only your VERY BEST work! There will be prizes for the top three. All items in the contest will be donated as a lot to the operation smile auction! (unless Corp. decides to break it up if they think it is best for the auction)

CTMH Pigment ink to alter buttons and blings!
Wow! This turned out so cool!
I took our NEW bulk flowers and used our pigmented ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder and heat set it with my magic heat tool! Now my flowers match my card!
